Patient: #20001
Case Description
45-year-old female 1 year after breast lift with augmentation. Her symmetry is improved as well as her breast projection. Removing excess hanging breast tissue below and adding and implant has given her more youthful and beautiful breasts.
Procedure
Under general anesthesia, the surgeon makes an incision in inconspicuous areas to minimize visible scarring. The breast implant is then inserted into a pocket either under the pectoral muscle (a submuscular placement) or directly behind the breast tissue, over the pectoral muscle (a submammary or subglandular placement). The incisions are then closed with layered sutures in the breast tissue and skin adhesives to minimize any visible scar.
