Patient: #60027
Case Description
46-year-old female 3 months after removing ruptured saline implants and placing 340 extra projecting implants under the muscle.
Procedure
Under general anesthesia, the surgeon makes an incision in inconspicuous areas to minimize visible scarring. The breast implant is then inserted into a pocket either under the pectoral muscle (a submuscular placement) or directly behind the breast tissue, over the pectoral muscle (a submammary or subglandular placement). The incisions are then closed with layered sutures in the breast tissue and skin adhesives to minimize any visible scar.
