Patient: #60001
Case Description
43-year-old female with right breast capsular contracture after breast augmentation performed in California with low profile 300 cc implants. I performed a revision breast augmentation with neo-subpectoral pocket on the right and implant exchange for both breasts. 485 cc Full profile implants.
Procedure
Under general anesthesia, the surgeon makes an incision in inconspicuous areas to minimize visible scarring. The breast implant is then inserted into a pocket either under the pectoral muscle (a submuscular placement) or directly behind the breast tissue, over the pectoral muscle (a submammary or subglandular placement). The incisions are then closed with layered sutures in the breast tissue and skin adhesives to minimize any visible scar.
