Case Description
57 year old female after massive weight loss with skin laxity of the upper arms. Dr. Hayes removed the excess placing the scar in a well-hidden location and sculpting the arm into a shapelier form.
Procedure
- Anesthesia: To ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure, general anesthesia or intravenous sedation is administered.
- Incision: The cosmetic surgeon makes an incision on the inside or back of the arm, either running from the armpit to the elbow or a smaller incision in the armpit, depending on the amount of skin to be removed and patient preference.
- Removal of excess tissue: The surgeon removes excess skin and fat, either manually or using liposuction. The remaining skin is then tightened to reshape the arm contour.
